we have blue sky here not in san jose. a low cloud deck there. right off to the north here what you're going to find is there's your blue sky. a few breaks of sunshine here across the bay including fremont and then up to emoryville. what you'll notice is some of that drizzle i noted that is showing up here in san jose. also a gorgeous shot. what we have happening is a subtropical moisture and the cold front over the past 24 hours is now pushing to the south. you can see all that cloud cover moving into southern california. that's shaping up just in time for your weekend. so we're going to see more of a milder trend building in as we head throughout friday, saturday, and sunday's forecast. slightly drying winds as well. that we do think will produce some 70s in the forecast. we're not going to see that at the coastline though. 50s and 60s. little bit breezy for thursday. friday and saturday, 70s are expected to return. what we are noting here for tonight is by 11:00, a stray shower is possible. but for the morning commuters on thursday, this is wh

good morning. 47 in san jose. 50s by the coast. i wanted to point out we just told you about that fog. it looks like we do have some ragged patches of fog, kind of sticking to the coastal mountains. overall, your visibility in most metropolitan cities is looking good. travel cautiously, specially along the north end of the peninsula. once you get north of 92, you get into the patches of fog. this is what we're looking ad for today. winds are going to play more of a factor than anything else. they are really rather strong. strong enough to knock you around on the open water bridges. take it easy out there. you see the key where you get those reds, oranges and yellows. we are going to start to get very gusty by about 4:00 p.m. dress for the two different parts of date. cold to start, up to 67 later on today in livermore. 69 for fairfield. low 60s at the immediate coast. not too bad. we are out of the 50s for today. we are going to keep on climbing as we get through the next couple of days. 78 for sunday. those high pollen levels retu

the first happened thursday in sonoma county followed by shootings in san francisco, san jose, union city. and then this morning officers again fired on a suspect, this time in hayward. monty francis joins us live with what led officers to pull their weapons on this suspect. >> reporter: kris, good evening. an investigation is underway. the scene has been cleared but you can see behind me a wooden sign that was knocked over by the suspect vehicle when it crashed. this unfolded at about 3:30 a.m. when police say a suspect rammed his car into a police cruiser during a traffic stop. the driver, a 23-year-old oakley man sped off and crashed the car here at foothill boulevard. the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene and it is not clear if the officer's bullett killed him. the driver is in police custody. we talked to the owner of a japanese restaurants yards from where the suspect vehicle crashed. he says he is discouraged by all the violence in his neighborhood. >> it is kind of sad but somebo somebody -- kind o
